Edward J. Garcia (born 1928) is a United States federal judge.
Garcia received an A.A. from Sacramento City College in 1951 and an LL.B. from McGeorge School of Law in 1958. He was in the United States Army Air Corps from 1946 to 1949. He was a Deputy district attorney of Sacramento County, California from 1959 to 1964. He was a Supervising deputy district attorney of Sacramento County, California from 1964 to 1969. He was a Chief deputy district attorney of Sacramento County, California from 1969 to 1972. He was a judge on the Sacramento Municipal Court, California from 1972 to 1984.
Garcia was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California. Garcia was nominated by President Ronald Reagan on February 16, 1984, to a seat vacated by Philip C. Wilkins. He was confirmed by the United States Senate on March 13, 1984, and received his commission on March 14, 1984. He assumed senior status on November 24, 1996.
